Certified Bookkeeping

This program prepares students to take and pass national certification exams offered by the American Institute of Bookkeeping Professionals.

Two exams are taken in class: Inventory and Internal Controls. Two exams are taken at the Prometric Center in Honolulu: Exam 1 consists of Adjusting Entries and Correction of Accounting Errors; Exam 2 consists of Depreciation and Payroll. Testing fees included in tuition.

PRE-REQUISITIES:
  • Must have an AA in Accounting or resume with 2 years of Bookkeeping professional experience

REQUIRED TECHNOLOGY:
  • Active email address
  • Computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone
  • Access to high speed internet (min. 512k), video and audio capabilities
  • Most recent updated browsers

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This program prepares students to take and pass national certification exams offered by the American Institute of Bookkeeping Professionals. Students will demonstrate competence in adjusting entries, correction of accounting errors, payroll, depreciation, and inventory through successful completion of exams.

Introduction to Marketing in the Digital Age

In the 21st century, having a small marketing budget can still meet your goals and business objectives provided you know how to be more creative and innovative in your marketing tactics and measurement. This class will show you how to get maximum exposure at minimum cost. You will learn effective, low-cost, and free marketing strategies to improve sales, develop your company’s brand, and build your bottom line.

  • Know the major marketing outlets in the 21st century
  • Know how to use low-cost vehicles to get your name known
  • Develop a marketing plan and a marketing campaign
  • Use time rather than money to market a company effectively
  • Know how to perform a SWOT analysis
