This course provides bits of information on cultural nuances. We will cover Korean language, tradition and food.  In short, information on things that get lost in translation so you can get more out of your K-Drama viewing experience. Come and find out why they always eat tofu after someone gets out of jail in K-Drama.

K-Drama 102

Go deeper into the world of K-Drama 102. Dabble into Korean history to help you understand your historical drama better. Did Jumong come before or after Queen Seondeok?  Find out.  And get a taste of Korea... learn to make a few very simple and delicious Korean dishes.

Crystal Suh earned her BA degree from UH Manoa in Administration in Travel Industry Management. She is currently the Office Manager and Program Director at KBFD-TV where she has been for nearly 10 years. Suh oversees daily office operations and manages scheduling and promotion of all programs. She has also produced the local shows, “At the Cinema” and “Joy of Dining.”
Suh is fluent in written and conversational Korean and was an instructor with the Hawaii Department of Education and has also worked as a freelance translator, providing her services for documentary, drama and news programs.
