The Shot Heard Round The World - NEW

CyberSafety Education & Awareness Workshop

This workshop will explain in lay terms the safety and security issues in computer technology and what the Internet poses to the user. Topics include online banking, social networking, and privacy. Ideal for seniors, teachers, and parents. NOTE:  Children & teenagers MUST be accompanied by their parent(s).  This is NOT a class to learn basic computer skills. Attendees should already be familiar with basic computer skills (creating folders, copy & paste, etc), including Web surfing and e-mailing.

John Au works as a financial planner with a passion to help people get out of debt.
Dr. Alec M. Pridgeon received his Ph.D. in biology from Florida State University, with a dissertation on the anatomy and systematics of Pleurothallidinae (Orchidaceae). He is presently Sainsbury Orchid Fellow at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where he specializes in molecular phylogenetics and co-edited and contributed to Genera Orchidacearum, a comprehensive multi-volume monograph of the orchid family. The sixth and final volume was published in February 2014. In orchid circles he is perhaps best known as past Editor of the American Orchid Society Bulletin (now titled Orchids) and Founding Editor of the scientific orchid journal, Lindleyana. However, he has also written/ co-written more than 50 scientific articles, book chapters and more than 100 popular articles. He has also written and directed five videotapes, edited/co-edited 15 books including the Proceedings of the 14th World Orchid Conference and The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Orchids, and compiled the Orchid Action Plan for the Species Survival Commission of the IUCN in Geneva. 
Nicolas Logue is the Theatre
Instructor at Windward CC.
He holds an MFA in Acting and Asian Theatre from University of Hawai’i and a BA in Theatre and Chinese Studies from SUNY at Buffalo. An internationally
acclaimed stage director with credits in New York, London, Honolulu, and Beijing. Logue is also a published author of over twenty books, a produced playwright and optioned screenwriter, movement specialist, combat choreographer, world renowned game designer, and an award winning stage actor.
Christopher Duque is a thirty year veteran of the Honolulu Police Department. While with the HPD, he was also assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division where he specialized in cybercrime investigations and computer forensics.
Detective Duque is still recognized as one of Hawaii’s leading computer and Internet crimes investigators. He has conducted investigations in a wide variety of criminal offenses, including the trafficking of child pornography, child exploitation cases, identity theft, harassment cases, hacking and network intrusion cases, and various forms of Internet fraud.
