ServSafe: Food Safety Certification (food handlers) online

The ServSafe® program is developed by the National Restaurant Association with the help of foodservice industry expert. Years of experience and inside knowledge of the foodservice industry are at the core of this course, exams and materials. It is designed for all levels of training and to prepare students to handle food sanitation risks in a variety of situations.

Hawaii law requires at least one employee be present at every food establishment during normal hours who has completed The American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) accredited food handlers training level certificate as of September 2, 2018.

Upon attending this course and successful completion of the examination, you will receive a certified ServSafe® Food Handler certificate.

Course hours: 20
Class meets: Synchronous Online - Participants meet together in real time via ZOOM once per week.

Windward Community College - Career and Community Education has developed a new foodservice training program called Hiilaniwai Foodservice Innovations Training (HiFIT). HiFIT is a program that will teach students the basic skills that are needed in the foodservice industry. It will take students from very foundational knife skills all the way through to a graduation project which includes a comprehensive final where students will prepare a chicken dinner in a specified amount of time.
