Basic Accounting for the Non-Accountant

A brief introduction to accounting for students with little or no accounting knowledge. This course provides students with some of the basic practical accounting skills. Students will apply these practical introductory accounting skills to complete a comprehensive case study. Text included.

Deacon Hanson holds a Masters in Accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, is a licensed CPA in the state of Hawaii. He is an instructor at Windward Community College teaching accounting and business since 2009. Prior to teaching Deacon has served as Chief Financial Officer at several businesses and Senior Business Assurance Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP.
